WIB Salon Series #1: Society 3.0: Can Blockchain and Web 3.0 Technologies solve Social Inequality?
The Women in Blockchain Salon Series is a platform for guided conversations surround the philosophical and social science impacts related to the blockchain – off chain governance, privacy, self-security, responsible distribution of wealth across the ecosystem, etc.
Our first session will dive into one of the greatest hopes for blockchain – building a new ecosystem that helps solve the current disparity in social equality. We are now glad to announce that this event will take place on the 28th of March, during Berlin Blockchain Week.
Expect professional insight, expertise, grand discussions and snacks+refreshments.
In this session we will go over key questions posed such as:
– Do all blockchains have a mandate to help solve social inequality?
-What tools are being created or implemented to address inequality?
– How do we reconcile questions around political or social impact with the need for technical independence?
– What are the pitfalls unique to blockchain for addressing social inequality and what is the plan to overcome these challenges?
Adeola Ogunwole, Marketing Consultant, organizing member for ETHBerlin
-Amy Jung, Design Operations Guru
-Lesa Mone, Content Lead EMEA, Consensys
Come join this session if you want to learn more about how blockchain can be a force for social change.
This session is open to advanced blockchain community members as well as novices alike. And as always, Women in Blockchain events are open to all participants that are allies in supporting gender equality in the blockchain community.
